I don’t have some dramatic or miraculous birth story to share, but I do have an extraordinary experience that shaped me long before I could speak or make sense of the world. From infancy, I've had a clear spiritual awareness throughout my life, an inner knowing, a quiet and unwavering connection to the Divine. My feeling of a connection to God has been with me throughout my life. It is the one overarching and supreme truth and knowing that has never gone away. I did not have the language for God or Spirit until I was about three years old, but I always felt something greater with me and around me. To me, it was simply an Absolute Presence, an all-encompassing peacefulness, profound stillness, and lovingness.
My first memories as a toddler are rooted in that presence of unconditional love, comfort, guidance, and protection. There was a familiarity to it, as if I had known it long before this lifetime. I always sensed it and can’t remember a time without it. Even then, I understood without understanding that I had been here before, yet not entirely from here, that I chose this unique lifetime and that I had entered this world carrying a mission I had not yet grown into, one that would shape my path and call me into greatness, to contribute more love and light to the world.

I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, in a family where faith, intuition, and spiritual sensitivity run deep through my African American and Puerto Rican roots. A beautifully blended lineage enriched with spirituality, inner wisdom, many gifts, and an unspoken understanding of the unseen. My grandmother, Granny, was my anchor and first spiritual guide, and teacher in life. Though Catholic by tradition, her relationship with God was expansive and deeply personal. She walked with Spirit in a way that felt natural, effortless, and powerful. From the moment I was born, she knew I was an old soul, someone who had been here many times before. And she instantly recognized my sensitivity and the unique gifts awakening in me.
As a child, I was quiet, observant, and unusually aware. I saw and felt energy, sensed spirits, and often knew things before they happened. By the age of three, I was describing what I felt and saw, and instead of silencing me, Granny nurtured it. Her home became my sanctuary, a place where my gifts opened without fear or misunderstanding. She taught me to trust my intuition, to pray, to listen to the quiet within, and to stay close to God.
